I was intrigued recently to learn of a group who have developed a model for praying and connecting with overseas missionaries through technology – called Hydrate. Their mission is to bring that “cup of cold water” to those who are working in “dry” spiritual lands, to keep them “hydrated” as they work.
They offer monthly 1 hour Skype calls where they connect, prophetically pray over and encourage overseas workers. During the other weeks, they commit to praying for prayer needs. Occasionally, a team from Hydrate is able to go “onsite” and visit for a weekend bringing refreshment to missionaries.
“Like cold water to a weary soul is good news from a distant land.” Proverbs 25:25
Do you know any missionaries who could use this opportunity? You can get more information at: http://www.pihop.com/hydrate/ Or why not start a local group here? You can Skype, pray and encourage! Consider how you can use technology to reach and refresh others in “distant lands!”
