We are just a few days from the National Day of Prayer, Thursday, May 7, 2015. I hope you are planning to join a local gathering, but if not, you can watch online the national event by going to http://nationaldayofprayer.org/national-observance/
Why a National Day of Prayer? We desperately need a turning back to God in our nation, and not just for a day! The problems and challenges we are faced with cannot be solved by a political system, a new election, or some good idea. Only God can turn this nation back to His original intent and that only comes by our cooperation and partnership with Him through prayer.
You might think you are just one person and that it’s not really that important, but your voice matters!
This year’s theme is “Lord, hear our cry”. For more information and free prayer guides, go to www.NationalDayofPrayer.org.
The National Day of Prayer is a great time to connect, join as a body and pray together in unity. If you are in the Sacramento region – consider meeting at the Capitol at 5:00pm with others to worship and pray. Or join the Rock House of Prayer from 10am-12pm. There’s also a prayer breakfast at William Jessup University that we always enjoy attending. Hope to see you there!
